Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
TMS, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, is an exciting treatment for Major Depressive Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, that was approved by the FDA in 2008; in the fall of 2018, TMS was approved for the treatment of OCD. Other indications that have emerged in the last year are Augmentation of Smoking cessation and MDD with Anxious features. TMS is a non-invasive treatment that requires no medicine or anesthesia. Patients get treated for about 30 minutes a day, Monday through Friday for 4-9+ weeks.

Esketamine/ Spravato
Esketamine is an effective treatment which can help fight depression. This branded medication, Spravato, is approved by the FDA in two places: 1) for depressive symptoms in adults with MDD with suicidal thoughts or actions; and 2) for Adults with Treatment Resistant Depression. It has been studied in many other areas and is "off-label" (not approved by the FDA) otherwise. VNS - Vagus Nerve Stimulation
VNS is also effective treatment which can help fight depression and is particularly helpful if a patient is treatment resistant. This treatment has been FDA cleared for the treatment of epilepsy for several decades and for Treatment Resistant Depression since the mid -2000's. It has been studied in many other areas and is available currently FREE via a Clinical Trial for patients who have Bipolar Depression at the NeuroScience & TMS Treatment Center.
